1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information
1.1 To provide more smart device experience features, we need to collect and
use the following personal information:
- a. Account login to enjoy "Topstep" services. You need to register or log in to your account to use
"Topstep" services. Therefore, we will collect your account-related information, which may include
your account, nickname, avatar, height, weight, and gender.
- b. To manage smart devices (including earphones, glasses, speakers, etc.), we need to collect your
user information (including but not limited to IMEI, IMSI, device MAC address, software list, device
serial number, Android ID), device type, and device configuration data. The purpose of collecting
this information is to establish Bluetooth connections, manage device configurations, complete
software upgrades, and display data sources. Network information, including IP address, network
type, and network connection status, will be used to improve the network connection experience.
- c. When some smart devices are managed through the application, the application will transmit
personal profiles (account, nickname, etc.) and device configuration data to the smart device
through a secure channel.
- d. Some wearable devices support Bluetooth message synchronization services, which require network
connection and access to phone, SMS, notification, contact, and call log permissions to send phone
numbers, contacts, call status, SMS, and notification messages to paired devices in the background.
- e. Some smart devices support phone functionality and require access to phone contacts and call
logs, which are synchronized to the device for calling features.
- f. Some smart devices support recording, music push, video, and photo album
features, requiring access to local music, recordings, local videos, and local photo albums on
the phone, which are synchronized to the device for corresponding functionalities.
- g. To provide you with customer support services, when issues arise during application use, you can
provide feedback to us on the "Feedback" page. The logs and contact information you upload will only
be used for communication and issue resolution and will be automatically deleted after use. Failure
to provide this information may prevent developers from resolving your issues, but it will not
affect your use of other features of this service.
- h. You can browse and play locally stored videos on the device through the APP. For this purpose, we
need to collect your Wi-Fi status and network information. For all information collected during your
use, we will provide security measures, including encryption during storage and transmission.
Encrypted information will only be stored on designated servers and will not be shared without your
consent to prevent information leakage.
1.2 Device Permission Requests:
The application requires network connection and the following phone permissions during use: Bluetooth,
camera, contacts, call logs, phone, storage, microphone. Specific rules and scenarios are as follows:
- Bluetooth permission: When you need to connect smart devices and synchronize related data or use
related features, we need access to your audio Bluetooth permissions. If you do not need these
services, you can turn off this permission at any time, which will not affect the use of other
services.
- Camera permission: When you connect devices by scanning QR codes or use smart devices to control
phone cameras, we need to request and obtain this permission. If you do not need these services, you
can turn off this permission at any time, which will not affect the use of other services.
- Contacts permission: When you use the call answering and adding frequent contacts
features on smart devices, the smart device needs access to contacts permissions to quickly
import contacts to initiate calls or add contact information on wearable devices. It also helps
you quickly identify whether caller information is in your contacts during incoming calls. If
you do not need these services, you can turn off this permission at any time. However, due to
limitations or compatibility issues with some phone devices, this may affect the use of other
services.
- Call logs permission: When you use smart devices to push missed call numbers or
control volume and call channels, we need access to call logs permissions. If you do not need
these services, you can turn off this permission at any time. However, due to limitations or
compatibility issues with some phone devices, this may affect the use of other services.
- Phone permission: When you pair with associated devices or use call answering,
call rejection, or incoming call information features on smart devices, some AIBuds devices need
access to phone permissions to obtain call status. If you do not need these services, you can
turn off this permission at any time. However, due to limitations or compatibility issues with
some phone devices, this may affect the use of other services.
- Storage permission: When you use photo, video, or music push features, you can
choose to enable this permission to read or write image, video, or local audio data for
application use. If you do not need these services, you can turn off this permission at any
time. However, due to limitations or compatibility issues with some phone devices, this may
affect the use of other services.
- Microphone permission: We need microphone permissions to enable AI conversation,
AI recording, and AI translation features. The APP requires microphone permissions to read and
process your voice information and transcribe it into text. If you do not need these services,
you can turn off this permission at any time, which will not affect the use of other
services.
- Notification permission: We need notification access permissions to enable
notification broadcast features. The APP reads and processes notification messages you receive
and converts them into voice broadcasts. If you do not need these services, you can turn off
this permission at any time, which will not affect the use of other services.
- Data read/write permission: Basic permissions required for APP use. Data
read/write permissions and access to SD card data are used to create local databases, record
server cache data, cache network images, and read local photo albums.
1.3 In scenarios related to the use of smart devices with this application, we will collect your
